Facilities

You will be staying in the heart of the French Alps with all of the activities a short drive from the chalet.

The Classes / Exercises

Please see the itinerary for the schedule of activities taking place during the week. The classes and one-to-one assessments are hosted by the retreat trainer / trainers.

We have fantastic running facilities in the area including;

Running Tracks

There are a number of hard and cinder running tracks within a short drive of the chalet. We tend to use the tracks on the bad weather days but try to stay on the natural trails as much as possible.

Running Trails

We have 1000s of running trails direct from the chalet. Whether you want to take it easy along the river or get some hill training in, the trails offer something for everyone.

Road Running

There are many quiet roads around the chalet suitable for group running sessions or for those looking for a solitary run. We can point you in the right direction to ensure you get the work out you are looking for.

Annecy Cycle Path

We go to Annecy one day during the camp to run along the 40km cycle path. It is the perfect place for tempo training or for a long run. Once at the lake, the perfect way to cool down is by jumping in to it and the afternoon off tends to be by the lake.

If you wish to do other activities during your stay we have the following facilities available in the area;

Walking

There is fabulous walking from the door of the chalet, for all fitness levels. Whether you want to mosey around the local villages or head up to a mountain top, we provided guided walks or, if you want some time to yourself, talk to us about the best places to go.

Adventure Assault Course

There are lots of Parcours Aventures in the area, which are similar to Go Apes in the UK. Swing from the trees, cross rope bridges and zip-wire through the forest for a great afternoon of fun.

Canyoning

Shoot down natural rock-slides, abseil down cliff faces and jump in to mountain pools. Following the river downstream, canyoning takes you in to the wild places for some extreme fun. Guides and equipment are provided.

Mountain Biking

There are 1000s of km of bike trails through the Alps. You can choose to follow a flat path along the river or head up to the ski lifts and hurtle downhill. We provided guided mountain bike rides or can advise you where to go to have fun. Bikes and equipment can all be hired locally.

Horse Riding

There are riding schools or places to hack out through the valley. If you want to head in to the mountains for the day, we can arrange hacks for all riding standards. Guides and equipment are provided.

Paragliding

There is nothing as magical in the world as soaring above the mountains like an eagle on a tandem paraglide flight. We highly recommend you have a go whilst you are with us. The instructors we use are all fully qualified so you’re in the best hands.

Climbing

There is some fabulous climbing in the area. Climbing is great fun for all of the family and you can be sure of a good work out. Take a guide and head out to the local climbs for beginners through to advanced climbers.

Swimming

There are many local swimming pools but Annecy Lake is a must do for all whom love open-water swimming. It is boasted to be the cleanest lake in Europe and is a wonderful place to swim surrounded by the mountains.

Chalet Facilities

The chalet often has spa facilities including a hot tubs or sauna. There is a communal lounge, with cable TV, DVDs and games, and a large communal dining room. Meals are served on the times outlined in the programme.

Transport

Transfers to and from the airport and local transport will be provided for you. If you wish to go further afield, we can arrange transport for you.

Spa Treatments

We know a number of fabulous masseurs in the area. If you wish to have any form of spa or physiotherapy treatment, we can arrange these for you at the chalet.
