Afternoon Tea, welcome and introduction by Lisa Jackson and her husband Graham Williams 

From fitness-phobe to fitness fan Lisa reveals how she changed from being a coach potato into a ultramarathoner

Going for goal Group discussion about participants’ running goals and how to go about achieving them

The 60-Second Secret Lisa introduces the walk/running plan from her book Running Made Easy and explains the benefits of walk breaks both when starting out and doing everything from 5Ks to marathons

Late Afternoon Running session 1 16-minute or 32-minute (second half led by Graham for faster/more experienced runners) walk/run session on flat, paved cycle path (to include a 5-minute warm-up and 5-minute cool-down) 

Stretching workshop The top ten essential post-run stretches

Evening Ice-breaker exercise followed by dinner

 

Sunday 2 September

Morning Breakfast
Morning Team talk (optional) Hypnotherapy explained and demystified; how it can help you achieve your running goals 

20-minute group hypnosis session (optional) Learn how to practise self-hypnosis

Running session 2 18-minute or 36-minute (second half led by Graham) walk/run flat trail/off-road session (to include a 5-minute warm-up and 5-minute cool-down) followed by stretching

Mindful running (optional) Short talk on how ÔÇÿmindfulness’ can enhance your running experience followed by a 30-minute walk or run to fully appreciate the stunning Alpine scenery surrounding the chalet

Lunch Lunch at chalet
Afternoon Nutrition, hydration and fit kit workshop What to eat and drink before, during and after a run; what gear you need and where to buy it; to include advice on high-vis clothing and running safety 

Yoga for runners Learn how improving your flexibility will benefit your running

Free time or beach excursion to swim in Lake Annecy

Lisa to conduct one-to-one hypnosis sessions at the chalet

Evening Dinner 

Learn the lingo 20-minute after-dinner talk explaining common running and racing terms

 

Monday 3 September

Morning Breakfast
Morning Team talk Anticipating and overcoming obstacles to success 

20-minute group hypnosis session (optional) Making peace with the past and taking the high road to running success

Running session 3 Fartlek training explained, followed by an 18-minute or 36-minute (second half led by Graham) fartlek session on an undulating course (to include a 5-minute warm-up and 5-minute cool-down) plus stretching

Lunch Picnic lunch at the beach
Afternoon Motivation workshop (on the beach) How to make running fun 

The Apprentice-style treasure hunt run The group is split into two teams and given a list of objects they need to collect, with a prize being given for the first team home

Tuesday 4 September

Morning Breakfast 

Team talk Running for weight loss/maintenance and how hypnosis can help

20-minute group hypnosis session (optional) Adore yourself slim

Running session 4 Interval training explained, followed by a 26-minute or 34-minute (second half led by Graham) super-8/super-12 speed session (to include a 5-minute warm-up and 5-minute cool-down) plus stretching

Lunch Lunch at the chalet
Afternoon Kayaking session 

Free time to swim, laze on the beach, read, go shopping etc

Lisa to conduct one-to-one hypnosis sessions at the chalet

Evening Dinner 

General (and running) knowledge quiz

 

Wednesday 5 September

Morning Breakfast
Morning Team talk Mind games: using mental tricks and hypnosis to improve your running  

20-minute group hypnosis session (optional) Success guaranteed

Running session 5 Hill training explained, followed by a 16-minute or 32-minute (second half led by Graham) hill session (to include a 5-minute warm-up and 5-minute cool-down) plus stretching

Lunch Lunch at chalet
Afternoon Zipwiring in Parcours Adventure Park  

Free time to swim, laze on the beach, read, go shopping etc

Lisa to conduct one-to-one hypnosis sessions at the chalet

Evening Dinner

 

Thursday 6 September

Morning Breakfast
Morning Team talk (optional) How to use hypnotic ‘anchors’ to boost your running performance  

20-minute group hypnosis session (optional) Installing confidence/success anchors

Running session 6 Tempo running explained, followed by a 16-minute or 32-minute (second half led by Graham) tempo session on a flat, paved route (to include a 5-minute warm-up and 5-minute cool-down) plus stretching

Lunch Lunch at chalet
Afternoon Biathlon (40-minute run+swim) around and in Lake Annecy 

Free time to swim, laze on the beach, read, go shopping etc

Lisa to conduct one-to-one hypnosis sessions at the chalet

Evening Dinner in local restaurant, to include award ceremony

 

Friday 7 September

Morning Breakfast
Morning 20-minute group hypnosis session (optional) Get set for success: reinforcing the running habit  

Running session 7 Scenic peak run/walk (to include Indian-file running). End your stay by splitting into two groups, each going at the slowest runner’s pace, to enjoy the stunning views across the valley

Farewell Participants share what they learnt, how their running has improved and their future running plans
