| Morning | Leave St Andre and follow the hillsides above the Lac de Castillon, passing ancient settlements used by the resistance and an unusual ‘modern’ monastery. |

Monday

| Morning | Following the GR4 (Grande Randonnee) we leave Castellane and gradually climb above the valley of the Verdon river.We visit the lovely,ancient hamlet of Chasteuil and climb up on to the plateau of the Suech from where we have wonderful views of the Verdon Gorge. |

| Afternoon | Drop down to the Hamlet of Rougon and then on to our Auberge at the head of the Gorge |

Tuesday
| Morning | Breakfast in Auberge |
| Morning | From the accommodation, walk down into the Verdon Gorge and follow an historic trail (the Sentier Martel) on a day walk through the Gorge finally climbing out to the Refuge of La Maline and some well-deserved refreshment. The trail is rugged with a few pieces of fixed equipment for security. |

| Afternoon | Have a drink at the Refuge before transfering to hotel at La Palud sur Verdon. |

Wednesday

| Morning | Leaving La Palud we once again join the GR4 and climb away from the village to some amazing views above the Gorge followed by completely new, and suprising, views! We stay high for much of the day. |

| Afternoon | Drop down to hotel in the village of Moustiers Ste Marie |
| Evening | Dinner in hotel |
Thursday
| Breakfast | Breakfast at the hotel |
| Morning | A free day to enjoy the beautiful village of Moustiers and it’s surroundings, as well as the hotel swimming pool. |
| Lunch | Lunch at hotel |
| Afternoon | Optional guided walk of 2-3 hours |

| Morning | Transfer from Moustiers to Mezel station and catch train to Nice. Onward travel from Nice is advised after 3pm. |
