Overview:
Join our Walking Guide, Pip Line, on a fantastic week discovering the hills of Haute Provence and treking through the fabulous Verdon Gorge.
Each day you will walk 5-6 hours, taking in the rugged limestone scenery, a landscape of rocky hills and ‘maquis’, walking through and above the Gorge, following historic trails. You will pass ancient hamlets, deserted villages, learn about the flora and fauna of the area as well as have a chance to see the famous Griffon Vulture of the region.
Guided by Pip, prepared to be amazed by the contrasts, views and beauty of the region on this stunning walking tour. A must for everyone who wants to see more of the region and visit the Verdon Gorge.
The cost for the week is £750 per person to include;
- 6 days guided walking as per schedule
- 6 nights accommodation in local hotels or gites (2* and above); where possible this will include a private room but you may have to share in some of the more rural locations
- breakfast every morning and picnic lunch en route
- group dinner on the final evening
- local transport to and from walks and luggage moved between accommodation
- transport to and from the station of arrival / departure
The costs to you are flights, evening meals, holiday insurance and the train ticket from Nice to St Andre les Alpes (Ôé¼35pp each way), drinks and souvenirs.
NB, we do not take over 10 people per trip and places are on a first-come, first-served basis.
