Arrivals / Departures

The Walking Tour week begins on Saturday 23rd June and finishes on Friday 29th June 2012. You must be at Nice Airport by 11am to catch the train to Dignes on the Saturday and you will be back at the airport by around 1pm on the Friday.

We will advise you where to go to pick up the Chemin de Fer to St Andre once you have booked on the holiday.

NB, if you are unable to make those those times, we may have to charge you for the transfer.

Transport

We have a private vehicle to transport you to and from the arrival / departure station and for the local transfers, as per the schedule.

Accommodation

The accommodation is as stated on the information pages. As we are moving around, we recommend you bring a towel for swimming purposes.

Fitness Levels

You will be walking 5-7 hours a day. We recommend walkers on this trip have a moderate level of fitness. We walk at YOUR pace but we are in the hills / mountains so there are some steeper walks.

Holiday Insurance

You MUST have walking holiday insurance to come on this holiday. We recommend using Endsleigh Insurance, who cover most of our clients. We may ask you for proof of your insurance to ensure your safety on the mountain. Please bring the documentation with you and put a photocopy in to your rucksack.

Weather

The weather in July can range from 18-35′c during the day so we mainly advise on hot-weather walking gear. However, we are in the mountains so we recommend warm and wet weather clothing for on and off the hill in case the weather turns for the worst.
