MARIA LEIJERSTAM
In 2007, Maria completed the Marathon Des Sables, a 151mile foot race across the Sahara Desert. This was shortly followed by coming 3rd in the Three Peak Yacht Race that involved sailing, running and cycling the length of the UK.
She soon entered the World Series adventure racing circuit and became a podium placed athlete. She competed in various 400km, 600km & 900km non stop races around the World by foot, bike and kayak.
Maria was then chosen to represent the UK in the Land Rover G4 Multisport Challenge in 2009. Having recently set up her own business in Wales she works as a mtb and kayak instructor as well as personal trainer and sports nutritionalist.
