Lisa Jackson

Lisa Jackson, the co-author of Britain’s best-selling beginner’s running book, Running Made Easy, is a former health journalist on Zest magazine and a Contributing Editor on Women’s Running magazine. She is also a clinical hypnotherapist specialising in fitness motivation and weight management, and has published a book, Adore Yourself Slim, on the use of hypnosis for weight loss.

Until the age of 30, Lisa loathed exercise and would do everything to avoid it, including driving to the corner shop (which was just a two-minute walk away). However, having run her first marathon aged 31 she became a running evangelist and has since completed 25 marathons, two 56-mile ultramarathons and five triathlons.

However, Lisa is not your typical running convert she came last in two of the triathlons she entered and can still be found towards the back of the pack of pretty much every race she enters. Because for Lisa, running isn’t about the time you do, but the time you have.

It’s this philosophy, and her emphasis on making every run really fun, that makes her the ideal coach for anyone who’s ever dreamt of taking up running but always feared they weren’t slim, fit or fast enough.
