GEORGE HARRIS

George is a practitioner and teacher of Chen Style Tai Chi, practicing for over 6 years and teaching for over 4 years. He also has a degree in Sports Science, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Metabolic Typing Advisor, a Master Practitioner of NLP and Hypnotherapy and ICPKP certified Kinesiologist, he has also written a book on Motivation for Diet and Exercise called ÔÇÿHow To Do What You Don’t Want To Do’.

George trains with Master Liming Yue of the UK Chen Style Tai Chi Centre. Master Liming Yue is a personal student of Grandmaster Chen Zenglei, a direct descendant, and global representative of the Chen family where Tai Chi was created.

George practices Tai Chi for many reasons, personal health, wellbeing, strength, flexibility, peace of mind, and emotional/spiritual development being the primary benefits. Coming from a background of strength training and rugby, George has found that Tai Chi both balances his other activities and offers its own unique set of benefits.

A lover of all things to do with training and fitness, George has completed a 4 hour marathon, over 15 mountain biking marathons, lifted over 230kg (not whilst training for the marathon!) and learned the 83 Movements of the New Long Form (Xinjia) in less than 4 months (most people take 2-3 years).

If there’s one thing that George has taken from his years of training himself and others it’s that fitness must be fun, if it’s to be continued in the long term. Learning Tai Chi with George will be both fun and rewarding, and leave you freshly prepared to take on the challenges in your life.
