Martin Yelling

Martin completed his first triathlon in 1991. A former international runner, Martin turned to multisport more seriously when winning the elite National duathlon championships in 2001 and 2002. He has represented Great Britain at elite level in 8 World or European championships.

Martin has also completed the Ironman triathlon races in Austria, Switzerland (9hrs 14mins) and the UK and also the World Ironman Championships in Kona, Hawaii where he finished top British age group performer in 2007 with 9hrs 44mins. He has also run the Comrades ultra marathon in 2011. Martin regularly writes coaching features for triathlon and running magazines including Triathlon Plus and Runnign fitness. He is also the founder and co-host of the popular running podcast Marathon Talk.

He can also be seen presenting on the main expo stage at the Virgin London Marathon and working with corporate and charity marathon and triathlon teams.

Martin is a qualified teacher and coach has a PhD in physical activity promotion and has been coaching athletes of all abilities for over 10 years. He has coached multiple first time Ironman triathletes but also experienced aged groupers and professionals. Martin is married to 2x time Olympic marathon runner Liz Yelling.

Joel Jameson

Joel Jameson is a British Professional Ironman Athlete and is hoping to qualify for Kona World Championships in 2012. He started his professional career in the Ironman 70.3 races, where he came 5th at the UK 70.3 and 7th at the European Ironman 70.3 Championships in 2010.

2011 has seen him step up in distance to the full Ironman and finish 4th at Lanzarote Ironman in 9:01:43. He has just had his first win over the Ironman distance too at the UK’s Outlaw Triathlon, finishing in 8:47:43.

Joel has also trained as a triathlon coach and currently working for YellingPerformance, coaches 8 dedicated athletes. He feels that the skills, motivation and experiences he has been fortunate enough to gain should be shared with any athlete commited to seeking improvement and enjoyment!’
